Engineering Design Consulting

Engineering excellence.
Solutions that connect.

Dakapa Engineering and Solutions LLC works with product brands on broadcast lighting, power systems, and embedded electronics. Some clients need an hour of a senior engineer's time. Others hand us a product at the napkin-sketch stage and we take it through to manufacturing.

What We Do

Capabilities

Some projects here start with a single design review. Others run from first concept all the way to shipping units. We size the engagement to the product, not the other way around.

Hourly / Project-Based Support

Engineering hours when you need an extra pair of hands. Design reviews, troubleshooting, or a defined scope of work, with no long-term commitment attached.

Full Product Development

Concept through production-ready design, with the mechanical, electrical, and firmware work handled by the same team.

Manufacturing Integration & Support

DFM review, supplier coordination, and sustaining support once a product is running in production.

OEM Custom Solutions

Hardware and embedded systems designed to your specification and sold under your brand, rather than a catalog part bent to fit.

Global Manufacturing Reach

When tariffs or component sourcing drive the decision, we help you pick the right country to build in. We keep partner relationships in the US, Canada, Europe, China, and Thailand.

Track Record

Past Experience

Our work has shipped inside products in six industries, going back to commercial kitchen controls early on. Each one asks for a different balance of mechanical, electrical, and firmware effort.

Broadcast & Studio Lighting

LED panel and fixture engineering for cinema and broadcast production.

Broadcast & Cinema Power

On-camera and portable power systems built for professional production.

Warehouse & IT Mobility

Battery and charging systems for warehouse and mobile-device fleets.

Automotive Embedded Systems

Diagnostic interfaces and in-cabin display electronics.

Fleet Management & IoT

Connected-device engineering behind fleet-scale monitoring platforms.

Commercial Kitchen Automation

Cooking controls and timers for high-volume restaurant kitchens.

Selected Work

Projects

Astra IP series broadcast LED panels in Half, 1x1, and 2x1 sizes
Broadcast & Studio Lighting

LED lighting that holds up on location

Engineering support across Litepanels' Gemini and Astra IP panel lines, plus Quasar Science's linear RGB tubes. The range covers hard and soft fixtures for broadcast and cinema crews, from compact 1x1 panels up to the weather-rated Astra IP series.

Anton Bauer VCLX portable block battery power stations Anton Bauer Dionic XT 150 gold-mount and 90 V-mount handheld batteries
Broadcast & Cinema Power

Battery and block power for long shoot days

V-mount and gold-mount batteries, multi-bay chargers, and portable block power stations for Anton Bauer. The block stations run from the 600Wh NiMH VCLX NM2 up to the 1600Wh Li-ion VCLX Li 1600, with smaller on-camera packs covering handheld cine and broadcast rigs.

Elora wall-mount charging dock and handheld mobile computer
Warehouse & IT Mobility

Battery power for fleets of handheld devices

Wall-mount charging docks, holsters, and battery systems for Elora International's mobile computer line, so a warehouse full of handheld scanners still has charge at the end of a shift.

Automotive diagnostic cable and in-cabin touchscreen display
Automotive Embedded Systems

Diagnostics, from the OBD port to the dash

Embedded hardware for Dashlogic's diagnostic interface cables and in-cabin touchscreen gauges. The electronics pull live data off the vehicle bus and put it in front of the driver.

Videndum Production Solutions devices inventory dashboard tracking Anton Bauer batteries
Fleet Management & IoT

Keeping track of every device in the fleet

Embedded connectivity work behind Videndum Production Solutions' device inventory platform. It reports charge state, location, and registration details for every Anton Bauer battery and charger in service.

Kitchen Brains TT-500 touchscreen kitchen timer on a wall mount
Commercial Kitchen Automation

Controls that hold a kitchen to the recipe

The TT-500 is a touchscreen timer that tracks up to 70 cooking cycles at once across fryers, grills, and holding cabinets, with crews picking products by photo rather than text so a new hire can run the station on their first shift. It has to survive grease, steam, and the heat of a line running flat out.
